New Map Notes

It has taken what seems like ages to get to this point but now i feel this map is done, gameplay has been drastically changed from my initial ideas, and this is now a very different map, i hope you enjoy my work and if you like it vote for it at JMC website and try and get it on servers.

Testing

Testing: by JMC The Vault and PlanetFortress websites, JMC , DeathMaster , X^ViRuZ, Bandido (no relation) , , and the guy who capped in 5 seconds and everyone else on the playtests who did'nt; cap in 5 seconds whos name i forgot, and thanx to all on the second Playtest of the 3rd revised version and the people on the 4th playtest. and last but by no means least my m8 Dave "SeWerSIde" Ricketts.

Revised Map Changes

(revised version 4) , this version fixes bug in red flag capture point found on the Vault/JMC playtest thanx to all again.

(revised version3), this version has two extra corridors into the Flag after X^ViRuZ comments in the review at The Vault, hopefully this will address the problem of the maps flag being very easy to defend, hopefully this will balance gameplay more? xtra ramp put in base side parts, lightflags put on all lattice fence to cast shadows, armour entities under flag room on big crates taken out due to new wall structure and not being able to reach them.

(revised version 2), this hopefully fixes the bugs found by DeathMaster, the first being the info_tfgoal bug and the two spawning into the wall bugs, also put in more signs as requested by JMC and put right a few mis-aligned textures i see.

Authors Notes

This map has been made with the intention of making a CTF map that will be popular with low r-speeds and a functional design that promotes fun gameplay, every endeavor has been made to make this run without chugging on your computer ,if this map is actually played on severs i will endevour to make an Avanti/warpath style map with lower r-speeds, you have been warned!

Rocket Jumping...you can get onto the roofs but i have resticted access so as not to spoil the gameplay, you can jump to the central area but only to the lower parts of the upper roofs, you cannot gain access to other areas through rocket jumping.

Gameplay...the idea of this map is to make the teams work as teams and not individuals, hopefully actual captures will be fewer and so seem more important, to get the flag the teams must access the inner sanctum of the opposing team, no cheats have been put in as i know and i have strived to make each side equal but make each side different in appearance etc.

If you wish to praise or send usefull information regarding ideas to make this map better then i will collate any and all ideas and make a second version that addresses any problems found by you players, please help me to give you great maps. [email protected]
